John made a decision to receive Christ when he was 19 years old following an incident that landed him in jail. He received Christ in an evening bible study at Gateway Church. John now serves as one of our elders. In 1979 he graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. in Psychology and Religion. In 1982 he graduated National University with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology. In 2006 John graduated San Diego State University with a Master’s in Public Administration. He married his wife Renee in 1997; they have five children and six grandchildren.

Gil was born 1949 in Selma, CA. - spending the majority of his adult life in the L.A. area. He then met his wife Kathy in 1993 at Calvary Chapel, Chino Ca. They were married in 1995. Their family consists of 4 adult children and 4 grandchildren. His wish is that all who are lost will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, understanding that Christ desires to be their friend and Redeemer.
